A cheque for $10 000 was presented to the Tumbler Ridge Museum Foundation on 16 May by Talisman Energy. This generous donation is being used for the construction of an interactive display in the Dinosaur Discovery Gallery in Tumbler Ridge, which is to be officially opened on June 27th, 2007. The opening of the Gallery will be a milestone for palaeontology in B.C. and for tourism in the Peace Region.
The interactive exhibit will form an essential part of the Gallery, and the covering of the majority of its costs by a single donation provides a significant boost for the TRMF. Talisman Energy’s Grande Prairie Operations Superintendent, Andrew Cattran, who presented the cheque to TRMF President Dr Charles Helm, said: “Talisman Energy is happy to support the Dinosaur Discovery Gallery and the community of Tumbler Ridge with this donation”.
Andrew Cattran, Superintendent of Grande Prairie Operations for Talisman Energy, presents a cheque for $10 000 to Dr Charles Helm, President of the Tumbler Ridge Museum Foundation, watched by Rich McCrea, Curator of the Peace Region Palaeontology Research Centre and Lori Pollock, Administrative Assistant for Talisman Energy.
